Hummus with Caper, Parsley Sauce

If you’ve ever showed up to a party with a tub of store-bought hummus and felt a little lame because you wish you had something better to bring, now you do. Here is an easy way to transform store-bought hummus into your own dip. Yes, we are all busy and it can be hard to get a side dish together, but this sauce takes about 3 minutes to make. Once it’s done, you stir it into your hummus, put it on a plate or bowl, and take off to that party with a delicious dish that looks like you put some effort into it.

Just fyi, you can serve this sauce on its own with French bread, but I like it mixed with hummus better. Enjoy!

Caper Parsley Sauce

3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil

2 tablespoons capers, drained

1/4 cup parsley

3 tablespoons black olives

1 container store bought plain hummus

Place olive oil, capers, parsley and black olives in a food processor and process until fairly minced.

Stir the sauce into a store-bought hummus. Transfer to a plate or bowl and serve with pita chips.
